Yufkas Kebap in Heidelberg

For a long time yufkas was the number 1 among Heidelberg's kebab shops. Yesterday I went to eat there again after years. Ordered Yufka and it was tasty but didn't have the premium quality and taste that I remembered from years ago. Nevertheless, a very good kebab. Meat was good, the portion was generous enough and the ingredients tasted very fresh. To be recommended if you craved kebab in the old town.

I cannot understand the sometimes bad reviews here. When I was here, the place was really more than good and well stocked. The kebab meat is really delicious. A Dürüm (or as it is called here, Yufka) is really recommended.

Average store with average prices. Well suited for saturation on the go. If you want a culinary experience, you will certainly be served better elsewhere, but that absolutely doesn’t take away the place’s right to exist.

The very best Pide in Heidelberg. I've tried everyone from Ziegelhausen to Emmertsgrund and this is by far the best pide! 👌🏽

Vallah if it were possible I would only give a quarter star. Meat was cold, sauce wasn't fresh, and bread was easily burnt amk. Greetings go out to Devran

In my opinion the shop has nothing to do with what is on offer there. The bread is so bad that it leaks and the sauce from the kebab was simply used for the pizza, whether garlic or hot. The basil is already dead and doesn't look already. If I could I would give zero stars.

The doner kebab is highly recommended. The bread was fresh and crisp. Quite a lot of outside tables, because those in front of the church are also part of it. However, it can take a little longer (20 minutes for us). Then you get a beeper.

The staff is friendly and the food served quickly, everything was very tasty.

The staff is very friendly. It would have given 5 stars if the bread had had a better quality. Otherwise no criticism. Meat quality is good and there is no sparing of vegetables in the flatbread. Drinks a bit expensive. Doner box and pizza looked anything but bad either.

Nice and small place in the city center of Heidelberg. Located just next to cathedral. Its very nice to sit outside and eat Döners and Pizzas. Has a lot of verity. The staff are friendly.

Eat good. Would come again. Also ok in terms of price. However, a star discount for dirty toilets.

The shop is in good shape and the waitresses are friendly. The kebab itself is sufficient in size. Not too much sauce and fresh pita bread. What more do you need. I would eat here again.

Tried many top rated doner places, but this one is probably the best, doner and yufka spezial is really good.!

Good food, large portions.

Doner products are very nice and satisfying, when we come to visit this region, the prices are reasonable for lunch and it is quite central as it is located before going to the castle right next to the church. You can choose chicken or meat in doner options. It is found in products such as pizza and pita. Especially, freshly brewed tea is a great thing to eat. The products have a halal cutting certificate. I was very pleased to find a hot lentil soup here.

Best kebap in Heidelberg. A little on the pricier side, but well worth it!

Pretty standard Doner place. It's great for feeding the family on a budget. We were able to sit at the tables in the sidewalk and watch all the people walk by. Lots of people and street vendors right next to the restaurant. The older gentleman that was making food was rude, but I didn't let that take away from the experience. Kids were happy, so I was happy.

Nice staff, good price/quality ratio

Amongst my travels in Germany, it's safe to say I've tried my fair share of Doner spots. After our long day of walking around the city we stopped in at Yufka's for a doner before our drive home. Safe to say one of the best Doners I've had! Super friendly staff and a place I definitely recommend to all of those visiting Heidelberg!

Shake and Bake, best yufka ever

This place is in a good location in the old town, so decided to try it after the long decent from the mountain. Unfortunately, the kebap was under cooked, lacked taste, and they used the chaos inside the restaurant in their favor to prepare the dishes without putting much effort in it as well as the low portions! I ordered a kebap pizza, and it barely had any kebap on it. Moreover, the staff made jokes about us in turkish so we can’t understand which is obviously rude! They also decided that I don’t speak german based on how I look...

Nice food and place

The amount is full! I ordered a pizza with meat, as long as 7 euros, it is delicious! It’s a thin slice of pizza, crispy like a biscuit on the side~ then it’s not enough to eat, the clerk’s attitude is very good and very kind! The only downside may be the problem of unsuitable taste. I still feel too salty when I eat it.

We had the doner at yufka's on Thursday night. We stopped at another place down the street on Friday and ended up back at Yufka's an hour later. Better ingredients, cheaper price.

I still dream about this place and I went in 2016.
